CAPACITATING THE DEVELOPMENT SECTOR

One of the prime activities of RCPDS during the reporting year was dissemination of information and equipping development catalysts to keep at pace with the changing development trend and policy environment. During the year 2006-07, forty-eight training packages were made which includes 12 tailor made courses for the middle level management.

Around 1,277 participants benefited from the course modules spanning over 164 days. Key areas/themes include child rights approach, participatory Project Planning & Monitoring, Panchayat Raj Institution, Youth/Children Camps, Training of Trainers programme in HIV/AIDS and community based rehabilitation of physically challenged.

Apart from this the facilities of our training centre were used by various other organizations such as Arogya agam, Women Development Corporation, Indian Council for Child Welfare for about 100 days.
